Karachi to Face Water Shortage on July 29 Due to K-Electric Maintenance at Dhabeji Substation

Karachi (HRNW)- K-Electric will carry out repair work at Bin Qasim Cluster Dhabeji Substation and Grid Station, due to which the city will face water shortage.

According to the Karachi Water Corporation, K-Electric’s maintenance work at Bin Qasim Cluster Dhabeji Substation and Grid Station will be carried out on Tuesday, July 29. The maintenance work will continue from 10 am to 7 pm. Due to the maintenance work, the city will face a reduction in water supply.

The spokesperson said that the power supply to various feeders of Dhabeji Pumping Station will be partially suspended. The shutdown period by K-Electric will be for a total of 9 hours. Due to the maintenance work, a reduction of 85 million gallons in water supply to the city is expected.

According to a spokesperson for the Water Corporation, water supply will be reduced in Landhi, Korangi, Shah Faisal, Bin Qasim, DHA and North Nazimabad due to repairs at K-Electric’s Dhabeji substation and grid station in the Bin Qasim cluster.
