Karachi (HRNW)- Coal theft network in Malir has become active once again, illegal warehouse established in Somar Goth-Coal theft has once again gained momentum in Malir area of Karachi. An illegal coal storage warehouse has become active in Somar Goth located within the limits of Steel Town police station, where it has been revealed that millions of tons of imported coal have been stolen.
According to sources, coal imported from South Africa and Indonesia, which is sent to various industrial institutions of the country from the PIBT terminal of Port Muhammad Bin Qasim through the railway yard, is stolen on the way. A nexus between vehicle drivers and local coal mafia has been found in this illegal activity.
According to sources, the stolen coal is unloaded at an illegal warehouse in Somar Goth, where black soil, dirt and water are added to the vehicles to balance the weight so that no one is suspicious.
According to sources, the mafia leader involved in this organized theft has registered his companies regularly, through which the stolen coal is sold to various industrial establishments in a regular business manner.
