Karachi (HRNW)- Rain emergency drain cleaning is underway in New Karachi Town on an emergency basis. Taking immediate notice of the situation arising after the recent rains, Chairman New Karachi Town Muhammad Yousuf made an emergency visit to different areas of New Karachi Town. On this occasion, he was accompanied by Vice Chairman Shoaib Bin Zaheer, Vice Chairman UC-9 Hanzala Anwar Qureshi, B&R Department Officer Faisal Sagheer and other town officers. Chairman Muhammad Yousuf reviewed the situation of rainwater drainage in detail. Seeing the garbage and water blockage in the drains, he immediately issued cleaning orders and completed the work of cleaning the drains under his supervision. He ordered special cleaning of main roads, procession routes and areas around Imambargahs and directed the concerned officers to ensure that all important routes are completely cleared before the processions so that the public and mourners do not face any difficulty. During the visit, local citizens and residents of the area also complained to Chairman Muhammad Yousuf about water accumulation in the streets, mud on the roads and blockage of drains after the rain. On which the Chairman instructed the staff present on the spot to drain water from the streets and low-lying areas on an emergency basis and to immediately arrange for cleaning. He also issued instructions to start a cleaning and spraying campaign around Imambargahs and mosques so that diseases arising after rain can be prevented. Chairman Muhammad Yousuf said that serving the people and solving their problems immediately is his top priority and the New Karachi Town administration is taking steps to provide all possible facilities to the people. He appealed to the citizens to support the administration in the cleaning campaign and not to throw garbage and objects that obstruct the drainage of rainwater into the drains. The residents of the area expressed satisfaction with the emergency visit of Chairman Muhammad Yousuf and the drainage works.
