KU hosts Prime Minister Youth Talent Hunt Boxing Event

Karachi (HRNW)- The Prime Minister Youth Talent Hunt Boxing event, hosted by the University of Karachi, concluded with resounding success. Karachi region emerged victorious in both male and female categories, showcasing exceptional performance and securing first place. The event which was initiated four months ago, was attended by around 750 male and female boxers from different districts of Sindh. The three day final rounds come to end on Friday and prize distribution ceremony was held at the KU’s Chinese Teachers Memorial Auditorium. HRCP Delegation Meets KP Additional IGP in Peshawar to Discuss Human Rights and Justice Reforms

Peshawar (HRNW) – A delegation of the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP) called on Additional IGP Operations Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Muhammad Ali Baba Khail, at the Central Police Office, Peshawar, today. The delegation was led by HRCP Chairperson Asad Iqbal Butt, while senior police officials including Additional IGP Investigation Alam Shinwari, Internal Accountability Officer Akhtar Abbas, DIG Security Qasim Ali Khan, Principal Staff Officer Imran Khan, SP Operations Ishaq Gul, and AIG Gender Anila Naz were also present. UN Delegation Meets Sindh Minister to Discuss Ongoing Development and Climate Projects

Punjab Government Approves 50 Crore Rupee Fund for Flood-Affected Schools

Sargodha (HRNW)- The Punjab government has approved a 50 crore rupee fund for the rehabilitation of schools in flood-affected districts. Severely damaged schools will receive 3 lakh rupees, while partially damaged schools will be granted 2 lakh rupees. These details were shared by Punjab Education Foundation Chairman Malik Shoaib Awann during a conversation. He stated that, on the directives of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, 50 crore rupees have been released for the immediate rehabilitation of government schools severely impacted by the floods in affected districts. Hyderabad (HRNW ) President Hyderabad Chamber of Small Traders & Small Industry (HCSTSI) Saleem Memon, has expressed deep concern over the severe disruptions and disarray in the supply chain of food items and agricultural produce following the recent torrential rains and floods in Sindh and across Pakistan. He stated that the impact of this crisis is becoming unbearable not only for the general public but also for the trader community. HCSTSI President noted that the supply of vegetables and essential agricultural commodities has been badly affected, resulting in manifold increases in the prices of tomatoes, onions, potatoes and green vegetables.
