Karachi (HRNW)- The Government of Sindh has introduced a new grading system for SSC and HSC exams, which will be implemented starting from the 1st Annual Examinations of 2026. Raw marks will no longer be shown; instead, results will be communicated using Grades, Grade Points (GP), and Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA). The pass percentage is now set at 40% for all subjects from Grades 9 to 12.
New Grading Scale:
– A++ = 95% to 100% → Exceptional → GPA 5.0
– A+ = 90% to 94% → Outstanding → GPA 4.7
– A = 85% to 89% → Excellent → GPA 4.3
– B++ = 80% to 84% → Very Good → GPA 4.0
– B+ = 75% to 79% → Good → GPA 3.7
– B = 70% to 74% → Fairly Good → GPA 3.3
– C = 60% to 69% → Above Average → GPA 3.0
– D = 50% to 59% → Average → GPA 2.0
– E = 40% to 49% → Below Average → GPA 1.0
– F = Less than 40% → Unsatisfactory → GPA 0.0
This system will apply to all education boards in Sindh.
