Karachi (HRNW)- The federal government has sought details of the steps taken by the provinces after the 2022 floods. The Federal Flood Commission, a subsidiary of the Federal Ministry of Water Resources, has sought details from the four provinces.
Answers to two questions have been sought immediately from the irrigation departments of the four provinces. Details of the funds kept in the annual development program for rehabilitation after the 2022 floods have been sought. How much aid did which international aid organizations provide in this flood? How much was spent? How much aid could not be spent?
Details of new construction projects for flood prevention should be given, how many of them are complete and how many are incomplete. Answers to both questions should be submitted to the Federal Flood Commission soon so that funds can be released for new projects. The Sindh Irrigation Department has sought details from all chief engineers so that they can be sent to the Federal Flood Commission.
