Islamabad (HRNW)- The federal government has decided to launch a digital portal for disclosure of assets of government officials on the demand of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), and in this regard, the Ministry of Finance and the Cabinet Division have prepared a draft that will be submitted to the International Monetary Fund.
According to the federal government, a modern digital portal will be introduced for disclosure of assets of government officials, on which it will be mandatory for all officers to disclose their assets.
The government has also decided to quickly dispose of tax cases pending in the courts to meet the revenue shortfall, in which the Prime Minister’s Office will assist.
Negotiations are underway with the IMF delegation on various issues including electricity and gas tariffs, circular debt and national accounts.
In this regard, it was said that further negotiations will be held on the draft for disclosure of assets of government officials and a final draft is likely to be submitted to the IMF.
