Pakistan Secures 4-Year US Permit for Seafood Exports, Targets $600M Earnings

Islamabad (HRNW)- Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Junaid Anwar Chaudhry said that Pakistan has been granted a 4-year permit to export fish to the US, which is a global recognition of Pakistani seafood quality.

Junaid Anwar said that Pakistani fisheries have met US standards, continuity in exports of marine products has become possible, and Pakistan’s exports will be stabilized with the US approval.

He added that Pakistan exported 242,000 tons of fish last year, earning $489 million in foreign exchange, while next year exports are expected to reach $600 million.
