Shalimar Express Vandalism Sparks Outrage: Calls Grow for Strict Sharia-Based Measures to Ensure Public Safety

Karachi/Lahore (HRNW) On its very first day of service, the New Shalimar Express witnessed multiple incidents of theft, with several Muslim shower facilities stolen en route from Lahore to Karachi, raising serious concerns about security and public safety.

Commuters and observers expressed outrage, questioning whether the nation is ready to be entrusted with quality public services. Many argued that without strict enforcement of laws, including severe penalties for theft, such incidents will continue to plague the country.

Critics highlighted a broader moral crisis, citing repeated acts of dishonesty and lawlessness in public spaces, linking these behaviors to failures in governance and ethical standards. They emphasized that Pakistan’s progress, dignity, and justice can only be achieved through implementation of Sharia law and a system rooted in moral governance.

The incident has reignited debates over public accountability, ethics, and the need for stronger legal measures to protect citizens and infrastructure from criminal acts.
