Sharjeel Inam Memon Says Goal of E-Challan System Is Compliance, Not Revenue Collection

Karachi (HRNW)- Senior Provincial Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has said that I wish that the laws are implemented and the government does not get a single rupee in the form of challans.

While holding a press conference, Provincial Minister for Transport and Information Sharjeel Inam Memon said that the Sindh government is trying to ensure that there is no food shortage. On the instructions of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the Sindh government has supported the farmers and from today, help is being provided to farmers across Sindh.

He said that 419,000 farmers will be given Rs. 14,000 per acre. This money is being given for wheat cultivation. The federal government has to import wheat this year too. Those living below the poverty line are being supported through Hari Cards.

Sharjeel Memon said that some political parties are doing politics on e-challans. They say that neither work should be done nor should work be allowed. He said that after e-challans, there has been a clear improvement in traffic flow. I wish that people obey the laws and the government does not get a single rupee in the form of challans. The government’s aim is not to earn money from challans. More than 20,000 challans have been issued in a week, people are getting pardoned. Violation of red light and one-way is dangerous. Traffic laws are for the betterment of the people.

He said that we have also presented our position in the court. There are some challenges in Karachi, which people criticize. A clear improvement will be seen in Karachi’s infrastructure by March. Shahrah Bhutto is a great project of Karachi, work is also underway on Red Line and Link Roads. The Sindh government promises that the hopes of the people will be fulfilled soon.

Sharjeel Memon said that the leadership of the PPP takes every decision in consultation. The PPP is a democratic party. A meeting of the CEC has been called regarding the 27th Amendment, a decision will be made in it. Amendments are made in the Constitution of Pakistan based on the needs. The 18th Constitutional Amendment was also brought during the PPP’s tenure. There will be a detailed discussion on the 27th Amendment. The purpose of constitutional amendments has been misconstrued. Let’s wait for time. The PPP will make better decisions in favor of Pakistan. The movement for Azad Kashmir is going on. Time will be determined. This matter will also be brought to the CEC.
