KU conducts entry test, 7, 536 students appeared

The University of Karachi conducted its entry admission test for the 2026 academic year Morning Program on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 11:00 am across 22 examination centers established within various departments of the KU.

The entry test included admissions for 20 departments, including the Doctor of Pharmacy (Morning and Evening) program, BS first year in applied chemistry and chemical technology, aviation technology and management, applied physics, biotechnology, business administration (BBA), chemical engineering (B.E), commerce, computer science (BSCS, BSSE, and BS[AI]), Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT five years), education, environmental studies, food science and technology, human nutrition and dietetics, international relations, mass communication, public administration, and Teacher Education B.Ed. (H).

According to details, a total of 7,769 admission forms were submitted for 1,347 available seats across the 20 departments. Of these, 7,536 candidates appeared for the test. The results of the admission test will be uploaded to the University of Karachi’s official website and candidates’ portals by October 28, 2025.

On this occasion, the KU’s Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Khalid Mahmood Iraqi visited various examination centers along with Registrar Professor Dr Imran Ahmad Siddiqui, member of Karachi University Assessment and Testing Service (KUATS) Professor Dr Anila Amber Malik, In-charge of Directorate of Admissions Professor Dr Saima Akhtar, Dean of Faculty of Science Professor Dr Rehana Saeed, Dean of Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences Professor Dr Samina Saeed, Dean of Faculty of Management and Administrative Sciences Professor Dr Zaeema Israr Mohiuddin, acting Student Advisor Dr Sarwat Afshan, acting Controller of Examinations Dr Muhammad Yasir, Campus Security Advisor Dr Salman Zubair, Senior Medical Officer Dr Wafa Altaf, Medical Officer Dr Muhammad Hassan Auj, and other officials.

After visiting different examination rooms with the media team, the KU VC Professor Dr Khalid Iraqi expressed satisfaction over the arrangements. He was briefed that to facilitate students and their parents, university transport (points/buses) was made available at all entry gates to and from the examination centers.

He was also informed that help desks were set up at various locations across the campus to guide candidates and their guardians. Additionally, Watch and Ward staff were deployed at entry points and around faculty buildings, and medical officers and their teams, along with an ambulance, were also present on-site.

The Vice Chancellor appreciated the efforts of all faculty members, administrative staff, and security personnel for the successful conduct of the admission entry test.
