HRNW – Roger Federer is set to enter the International Tennis Hall of Fame (ITHF) during a ceremony planned for August 2026 in Newport, Rhode Island, the organisation announced on Wednesday. Federer, who retired in 2022, captured 20 Grand Slam titles—becoming the first man to reach that number—and finished his career with 103 tournament victories.
From 2004 to 2008, he remained world No. 1 for 237 consecutive weeks, a record streak. In total, he spent 310 weeks at the top of the ATP rankings.

In a statement released by the ITHF, Federer said that being selected for the Hall of Fame is a great honor and that joining a group filled with tennis legends is deeply meaningful to him.

The Swiss icon was known for his long-standing rivalries with Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic, forming the era’s famous “Big Three.” Federer added that he has always appreciated the sport’s history and looks forward to traveling to Newport next August to celebrate the occasion with the tennis world.
