Punjab to reopen shopping malls from Monday

Lahore (HRNW) The Punjab government has allowed shopping malls to be reopened from Monday. The province has reported 13,571 COVID-19 cases so far, of which nearly 6,900 infections are in Lahore.

Punjab Industries and Commerce Minister Mian Muhammad Aslam Iqbal said on Friday that shopkeepers will have to wear masks and use hand sanitiser. Customers will have their temperatures checked with a thermal gun at mall entrances.

Production units of the automobile industry have been allowed to work throughout the week, while showrooms can operate for four days, from Monday till Thursday.

On Thursday, multiple shops and markets were sealed in Lahore for not following the government SOPs.
