Pakistan becoming increasingly capable of handling Covid-19: FM Qureshi

ISLAMABAD (HRNW) – Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that Pakistan’s capacity to deal with the global challenge of coronavirus is constantly increasing.

He expressed these views while presiding over a high level meeting in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on dealing with the challenge of coronavirus. The meeting also reviewed various options for making the return of Pakistanis awaiting repatriation from foreign countries possible.

Addressing the meeting, the Foreign Minister said that the National Coordination Committee (NCC) meeting chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan held a detailed discussion on this important issue. The NCC meeting had decided to ban flights coming from overseas to prevent the possible spread of coronavirus in Pakistan, he added.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi also said that our capacity for overcoming the global pandemic is constantly increasing. The meeting also consulted on the possible challenges of post-April 4 resumption of flight operations.
