Karachi (HRNW) — Well-known YouTuber Rajab Butt was brutally assaulted by a group of lawyers inside the premises of Karachi City Court, leaving him seriously injured.
According to eyewitnesses, Rajab Butt started bleeding from his mouth and jaw during the attack, causing panic and tension in the courtroom area.
He had appeared before the court for a hearing related to his interim bail when the sudden assault took place. The attack caused him to fall to the ground, and he required immediate medical attention. Police and court staff quickly arrived at the scene to control the situation.
Sources say the motive behind the attack is still unclear, and lawyer associations have yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident. The assault created fear and anxiety among litigants and others present in the court premises.
The court has extended Rajab Butt’s interim bail until January 13. The proceedings were kept brief, and the injured YouTuber was promptly shifted to a hospital. According to hospital sources, his condition is out of danger, but he remains under medical observation for further examination.
