Washington (HRNW)- The United States has announced tough trade measures against countries trading with Iran. US President Donald Trump has announced a 25 percent tariff on countries doing business with Iran.
President Donald Trump warned in his statement on social media that all countries trading with Iran will have to pay a 25 percent tariff on all types of trade with the United States. He clarified that this order is final and will be implemented immediately.
According to the US President, any country that maintains business relations with Iran will have to face additional tariffs in its trade activities with the United States.
According to reports, this move by President Trump has come in the context of the ongoing anti-government protests in Iran and the crackdown against them.
It should be noted that anti-government protests have been ongoing in Iran for the past two weeks. According to a US human rights organization, 490 people have been killed so far during these protests.
