Islamabad (HRNW)– A United Nations special rapporteur on torture has raised serious concerns about the detention conditions of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, warning that prolonged solitary confinement and severe isolation could amount to cruel, inhuman, or degrading treatment. The expert urged Pakistani authorities to take immediate and effective action to ensure compliance with international human rights standards and to review detention conditions to protect human dignity.
