London (HRNW)– A shocking report has revealed that around 80,000 immigrants obtained UK visas through manipulated IELTS exam results, raising serious concerns among prospective students and immigrants worldwide.

According to British media, evidence of fraud has emerged in countries including China, Bangladesh, and Vietnam, involving leaked papers, bribery, and falsified scores, with some candidates passing without even attending the exam.
The UK Conservative Party has taken a firm stance, stating that individuals who obtained visas through false results should be deported immediately. The British government has confirmed a formal investigation, with all results and procedures to be re-examined, and stricter rules likely to be enforced in the future, including biometric verification, stricter monitoring, and higher fees.
This scandal has also affected Pakistani students, as the UK already earns significant revenue from Pakistani visa fees—over Rs 1.87 billion in 2023 alone—and stricter scrutiny may be imposed on future IELTS test-takers.
