Islamabad (HRNW)– A tragic accident took place on Islamabad’s Dastur Highway (Secretariat Chowk) last night, in which a white Toyota Land Cruiser V8 hit two girls’ scooters at high speed and crushed them. According to the police, both the women died on the spot as a result of the collision.
The accused in the accident is a 16-year-old youth identified as Abu Zar and is said to belong to a respected judicial family. The police have arrested the accused from the spot.

According to the police, the accused was making a video before the incident and threw his mobile phone after the accident. The remand report says that this time due to speeding and carelessness, the two girls riding the scooter lost their lives.
The incident has once again raised questions that when the children of members of the judicial family themselves benefit from legal protection, what rights will the common citizen — especially the poor or the people struggling with difficult circumstances — have? Some quarters are calling it a “double standard” and demanding that justice be equal for every member of society.

You have also written: “This hard state is only for the poor!”
“A Supreme Court judge’s daughter-in-law has already done this on a government vehicle, nothing would have happened”
This recent incident is a true reflection of the concerns that the public has about the judiciary and the implementation of the law.
In this moment of grief, HRNW appeals to the public to extend support to humanitarian efforts. To donate, please visit: www.hrnww.com
