Zabul (HRNW)- Two important check dam projects have been completed and officially opened for public use in Zabul province of Afghanistan to meet water storage and agricultural needs.
According to details, a check dam project was completed at a cost of 3 million 50 thousand Afghanis in Wachki Karez village adjacent to Safa district of Zabul province, which has been put into use for the public after its inauguration. This project will improve the groundwater level in the area as well as significantly improve the availability of water for agriculture and livestock.
Similarly, the construction of another water check dam has been completed in the Seeri (Sewri) district of Zabul province, which has been officially handed over to the local population. This project is also expected to overcome water shortage in the area and provide convenience to local farmers.
The local people expressed their happiness over the construction of the check dams and thanked the relevant authorities and said that these projects will improve the economic and agricultural condition of the area.
