Washington (HRNW)- US President Donald Trump has hinted at a possible operation in Colombia after Venezuela, which has increased political and diplomatic concerns in the region.
Speaking to reporters on the plane returning from Florida to Washington, President Trump said that Colombia is currently being run by a “sick man” and this situation will not last long. He said that he likes the name “Operation Colombia”.
President Trump said that after the recent operation in Venezuela, matters are being settled with those who took oath, while there is full preparation for a second attack, but according to him, it will not be necessary.
The US President made it clear that at the moment his focus is on correcting the situation in Venezuela rather than the elections and that elections will be held in Venezuela at the appropriate time.
He added that all the US soldiers injured during the operation in Venezuela are now in good condition.
Following President Trump’s statements, there is concern in political and diplomatic circles in the region, while the eyes of the international community have focused on the situation in Colombia and Venezuela.
