Karachi (HRNW)– Karachi traffic authorities have reported that more than 125,400 e-challans were issued between October 27 and December 13 to enforce road safety and traffic regulations. The majority of fines were for not wearing seat belts, totaling over PKR 708.2 million.
Other significant fines include:
- Helmet violations: PKR 175.565 million
- Overspeeding: PKR 32.2 million
- Using mobile phones while driving: PKR 30.1 million
- Traffic signal violations: PKR 36.41 million
- Fancy number plates: PKR 16.61 million
- Vehicles with tinted windows: PKR 38.9 million
- No-parking violations: PKR 12.88 million
Traffic officials emphasized that these measures aim to enhance road safety, reduce accidents, and promote responsible driving across the city.
