Gaza (HRNW)– The third phase of the Gaza ceasefire proposed by the US President has been delayed, with Hamas making its stance clear that the next phase cannot begin until Israel fully implements the first phase.

Hamas political bureau member Hussam Badran urged mediating countries to pressure Israel to halt attacks, noting that continued strikes in Gaza and the West Bank have resulted in several Palestinian casualties. The second phase of the ceasefire includes the deployment of an international force in Gaza, formation of a board of foreign representatives to manage the country’s affairs, and disarmament of Hamas, contingent on activating Palestinian police and forming a Palestinian representative board.
Meanwhile, Israeli officials claimed that Hamas has yet to hand over all hostages’ bodies, which they say violates the first phase of the ceasefire.
