Thailand (HRNW)– Tensions have once again escalated in the border areas of Thailand and Cambodia, according to international media reports, with both countries accusing each other of violating the ceasefire after fresh clashes.
According to reports, the Thai army carried out airstrikes in two different locations early in the morning. The Cambodian army says it was not retaliating despite days of “provocations” by Thai forces, but the situation has become more tense after the recent attacks.
Fear and panic are increasing in the border areas after both countries exchanged accusations, while diplomatic sources say that contacts are being intensified to reduce tensions.
