Tehran (HRNW)- The nationwide protests in Iran have intensified following the United States’ support for demonstrators and threats of military action. Iranian authorities allege that foreign countries, including the US and Israel, are backing protesters to incite violence.
Iranian intelligence reported the recovery of American-supplied weapons and explosives from multiple locations, claiming that miscreants were receiving instructions from abroad. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi told Al Jazeera that audio recordings confirm terrorist agents were ordered from outside the country to target police and protesters.
Araqchi added that internet shutdowns were implemented to prevent foreign-directed violence, describing the goal of these agents as “spreading murder and destruction.” Iran has consistently accused the US and Israel of using foreign operatives to escalate the protests.
