Suspect Granted Interim Bail in Karachi Dumper Collision Riot Case

Karachi, Pakistan (HRNW)Liaquat Mehsud, arrested in connection with a riot following the death of a young man in a dumper collision in Karachi’s Garden area, was presented before the Sessions Court, which approved his interim bail.

Court records indicate that Liaquat Mehsud faces two separate cases registered at Garden Police Station. Following court directives, anti-terrorism clauses were also applied to the riot case.

During the hearing, the court validated interim bail for both cases. In the riot case, bail was granted against sureties amounting to PKR 100,000, while in the weapons recovery case, the court approved bail with sureties of PKR 50,000.

The court clarified that the release of the accused is conditional on fulfilling all bail requirements, and failure to comply may result in immediate rearrest.
