According to local reports, the attacks occurred around 7:40 am in the Manjansto area of Abdullah Khel valley, near a key Taliban outpost and in a compound owned by Maulvi Malik. Following the explosions, the Taliban sealed off parts of the valley, blocked access roads, and began questioning local residents.

No group has claimed responsibility, but resistance forces have remained active in Panjshir, the only region in Afghanistan where organized opposition against the Taliban continues. Historically, Panjshir has been a stronghold of resistance, including against the Soviet invasion and during the first Taliban government, famously led by Ahmad Shah Massoud, the “Lion of Panjshir.”

Despite the Taliban regaining power in August 2021, Panjshir continues to witness repeated attacks and explosions, demonstrating the province’s enduring defiance.
