Karachi (HRNW)- In view of the increasing demand for gas during the winter season, the Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has announced a 48-hour gas shutdown for the industrial and CNG sectors.
According to the Sui Southern Gas administration, in order to provide better gas pressure to domestic and commercial consumers, gas supply to industrial consumers (including captive power plants) and all CNG stations (including those running on RLNG) will remain suspended from 8 am on Saturday, January 24 to 8 am on Monday, January 26.
The administration says that the company is constantly striving to provide better gas pressure to its consumers, which is why this temporary measure is being taken due to the increase in demand during the cold season.
The SSGC has directed domestic consumers to contact the 24-hour helpline 1199 in case of any complaint related to gas pressure, where dedicated staff will ensure immediate redressal of the complaints.
The statement further said that as usual, gas supply to domestic and commercial consumers will remain suspended from 10 pm to 5 am daily under gas load management.
Sui Southern Gas has requested the media and the public to present this news in the correct context, as in the past, such decisions were wrongly presented by some elements on social media, which created unnecessary concern among consumers.
