Sindh MPA Writes to Interior Minister Over Worsening Traffic Situation in Karachi

Karachi (HRNW): Sindh Assembly Member Muhammad Aamir Siddiqui has written a letter to Sindh Interior Minister Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar, expressing serious concern over the deteriorating traffic situation in Karachi and the growing mismanagement on the city’s roads.

In the letter, MPA Muhammad Aamir Siddiqui stated that since the implementation of the e-challan system, the traffic situation in Karachi has further worsened. Due to a severe shortage of traffic police personnel, schoolchildren and office workers are being forced to remain stuck in traffic jams for hours.

He pointed out that the e-challan system is limited to only a few selected locations, while in most parts of the city wrong-way driving, signal violations, and open breaches of traffic laws have become routine.

The MPA noted that Karachi, the country’s highest revenue-generating city, has been virtually paralyzed due to traffic mismanagement, severely affecting the daily lives of its residents.

Warning that the situation could worsen further ahead of Ramadan, Muhammad Aamir Siddiqui urged the authorities to deploy additional traffic personnel and take effective measures to restore the traffic system, so that much-needed relief can be provided to the citizens.
