Karachi (HRNW)– Provincial Minister Sindh Sharjeel Inam Memon stated that print media worldwide is facing severe challenges, as people now get their news from mobile phones and social media operates 24/7. He emphasized that electronic media and the race for breaking news have made it difficult for newspapers to compete.

Memon stressed the need to strengthen newspapers, pointing out that much of the news on social media is false. He added that the PPP has always supported media freedom, standing by the press during difficult times without engaging in revenge politics.

Referring to PTI’s founder, he criticized the spread of misleading narratives and noted that trolling from abroad has fueled hatred in the country. He called these attempts a failed conspiracy to harm Pakistan that will not succeed.
