Sindh Govt Assures Full Freedom and Security to KP Chief Minister During Visit, Says Sharjeel Memon

Karachi (HRNW)- Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has said that the Sindh government fully believes in democratic values and is following the policy of free movement in the province. During the visit of the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, he will have complete freedom to carry out political and official activities in the province and the Sindh government will provide him with complete security and protocol.

According to Sharjeel Inam Memon, a representative of the Sindh government will also be present at the airport to welcome the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The government’s position is that the Chief Minister of KP should inform about the program of his visit, and if he needs a ground for any rally or event, the Sindh government will also provide it. It will be ensured that no activity violates the law or causes inconvenience to the public.

The Information Minister further said that ideological and political differences exist between the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and the Pakistan People’s Party, and differences of opinion and criticism are tolerated in democratic societies. If PTI criticizes, it has the right to do so, and the PPP also has the right to respond to it in a political manner.

Referring to the restrictions on criticism during the previous government, Sharjeel Inam Memon said that during Imran Khan’s rule, those who criticized on a talk show used to see NAB notices and arrests the next day, but such a practice will not be adopted in Sindh and criticism will be tolerated within the scope of political ethics.

The Information Minister also shed light on the position of PTI and Imran Khan regarding the Taliban, saying that the PPP has a strong disagreement with the attitude of opening Taliban offices and adopting policies in favor of extremist elements. He said that these elements are responsible for various incidents of terrorism in the country and have been creating a worrying situation for the people in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as well.

He said that it is the responsibility of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government to ensure the safety of people’s lives and property, and not to facilitate such elements who have become a torment for the people.
