Karachi (HRNW)- Sindh Governor Kamran Tesori visited the fire-hit Gul Plaza on MA Jinnah Road and reviewed the ongoing relief and rescue operations at the scene. The Sindh Governor also received a detailed briefing from the rescue officials regarding the causes of the fire, damages and relief activities.
On this occasion, Kamran Tesori said that saving precious human lives is the top priority. He has been informed that more than 100 people were present in the building at the time of the incident, so immediate and effective steps should be taken to evacuate people safely.
The Sindh Governor said that there are thousands of shops in Gul Plaza, shopkeepers will have to ensure fire safety arrangements for their own and other people’s safety in the future. He stressed that any negligence on safety measures in such buildings is unacceptable.
Meanwhile, Federal Health Minister Mustafa Kamal and senior MQM leader Farooq Sattar have also expressed deep sorrow and grief over the loss of precious human lives in the tragic incident that took place at Gul Plaza and expressed sympathy with the affected families.
