Karachi (HRNW)- Sindh government spokesperson Sadia Javed has said that the Sindh government stands by the traders and the public in this difficult time. Expressing deep sorrow and regret over the loss of precious human lives in the fire at Gul Plaza, she has expressed her heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the families of the deceased, while praying for the speedy recovery of the injured undergoing treatment at the burns ward.
The Sindh government spokesperson said that the government’s sympathies are with the victims of Gul Plaza. The Sindh government has always been at the forefront of helping the traders and the losses of the victims of Gul Plaza will be adequately compensated.
Sadia Javed said that the fire spread very quickly, due to which it was not possible to control it in time. She said that most of the old buildings do not have proper emergency exit arrangements, while fire safety arrangements were inadequate in Gul Plaza too.
He added that the government is examining the causes of the incident and necessary steps will be taken to prevent such accidents in the future.
