Karachi (HRNW)- The Sindh Chief Minister has said that the Thar Coal Water Supply Project is the largest project in Pakistan and its journey to success was not easy.
The Sindh Chief Minister said that the project faced serious challenges such as inflation, global price fluctuations, supply chain disruptions, exchange rate depreciation and high interest rates, however, the project was successfully completed due to the unwavering commitment of the Sindh government and Enertech Water Private Limited.
He said that the project was completed within the stipulated time frame due to the companyâs steadfastness, professionalism and commitment, which resulted in cost savings of more than a billion rupees.
The Sindh Chief Minister congratulated all the partners on this success and clarified that achieving the commercial operations date of the project is a clear testament to the hard work and commitment of all the partners.
He added that the project did not use river water because it is already in short supply, and this has enabled a consistent and sustainable water supply for Thar coal.
