Karachi (HRNW)– On the occasion of International Anti-Corruption Day, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, in his special message, termed corruption as a cause of social destruction and said that corruption is an epidemic that deprives nations of their true potential.

The Chief Minister said that today’s day reminds us to further strengthen the efforts against corruption at the global level. Transparent governance and strict accountability measures are indispensable to eradicate corruption. He said that as per the clear instructions of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the Sindh government is implementing a ‘zero tolerance’ policy against this scourge.
Murad Ali Shah said that the Sindh government has started effective action against bribery, illicit asset transfer and other corrupt practices in government departments by activating E&ACE. For public convenience, there is also an online complaint registration system through which complaints are transparently registered and monitored.
The Chief Minister said that the e-registration system was implemented in Sindh to eliminate corruption in sub-registrar offices, which has resulted in a significant reduction in corruption. In February 2025, a special committee was formed against these offices, which after a comprehensive inquiry dismissed 7 officers, including 4 sub-registrars, from service after they were found to be corrupt.
He added that the EPAD system has been introduced for better governance, which will improve the performance of government departments and restore public confidence.
The Chief Minister of Sindh appealed to the citizens to support the government in its national commitment to eliminate corruption.
“Let us all unite against corruption and eradicate this scourge from Pakistan forever.”
