Sindh Cabinet Approves Rs 2.9 Billion Package for Development of Karachi’s Industrial Areas

Karachi (HRNW)- The Sindh cabinet has approved a development package of Rs 2.9 billion for the rehabilitation and development of industrial areas of Karachi. This decision was taken in a meeting of the provincial cabinet chaired by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah.

The Sindh Chief Minister said in the meeting that the roads and drainage system of all industrial areas of Karachi will be repaired and restored, so that industrial activities improve and better facilities can be provided to investors. He said that the Sindh government is committed to industrial development in the province.

Murad Ali Shah further said that the Sindh government will soon announce a separate development package for other industrial estates of the province. He said that the Industries Department is planning for industrial estates of other cities of the province and as soon as the development plan is finalized, a new package will be announced.

The Sindh Chief Minister also referred to the public courts held in 23 districts in the meeting and said that complaints related to law and order, police services, health, local government services, water supply, roads, irrigation and education were received in these courts.

He directed all departments to immediately redress public complaints and submit reports. He also announced that public courts would be held again from the second week of January.

The Chief Minister gave a clear warning that if the complaints were not redressed, action would be taken against the concerned officers.
