Karachi (HRNW) — The Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) has issued a three-day ultimatum to building owners across Karachi to install fire safety systems in their properties.
SBCA officials have informed the Chairman Abad in writing, instructing that the fire safety audit conducted by Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) must be implemented immediately.
Authorities emphasized that builders who fail to take the necessary safety measures have been given a three-day deadline to comply. They added that these steps are crucial for the safety and welfare of the city’s residents.
Today, fire safety audits were conducted in six different buildings in Karachi’s South and East districts.
Mayor Karachi, Murtaza Wahab, urged all building owners to ensure proper fire safety measures are in place to protect lives and property.
