Shahid Khan Afridi Moves Permanently to Islamabad, Focuses on Contributing to Pakistan

Islamabad (HRNW) — Pakistan’s legendary all-rounder and former captain Shahid Khan Afridi has permanently moved from Karachi to Islamabad. Speaking to the media at his new residence, Afridi stated that he wishes to see Pakistan develop rapidly, emphasizing that continuity is the most fundamental element for progress.

Afridi confirmed that his relocation from Karachi to Islamabad was due to personal reasons. When asked about entering politics, he clarified that he currently has no plans to join politics. He further stated that the government should complete its full five-year constitutional term, and that key constitutional officeholders, including the Chief Justice and Army Chief, should also be allowed to complete their tenure.

The former captain expressed that Pakistan and Pakistani cricket have given him global recognition, respect, and status, and now he wishes to give back to the country and the sport. He also revealed that he had been offered important government positions in the past.
