Rawalpindi (HRNW)- According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces carried out an intelligence-based operation targeting terrorists belonging to the Indian proxy group Fitnatul Hindustan.
The ISPR stated that during the operation, the terrorists’ hideout was effectively targeted, which led to an exchange of fire, resulting in the killing of three terrorists. The slain militants were identified as local commander Farooq alias Soro, Adeel, and Waseem.
The statement further revealed that arms, ammunition and explosives were recovered from the possession of the terrorists. According to ISPR, the killed militants were involved in several terrorist activities in the area.
ISPR added that clearance operations are still ongoing to eliminate any remaining terrorist presence in the region. The statement emphasized that the counter-terrorism campaign is being conducted under the vision of determination and stability approved by the Federal Apex Committee under the National Action Plan.
The ISPR reaffirmed that the campaign to eliminate foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country will continue with full force.
