Security Forces Eliminate 13 Militants Linked to Indian-Backed Group in Bannu and Kurram Operations

Bannu (HRNW)- Security forces conducted two intelligence-based operations (IBOs) on January 13 and 14 in the Bannu and Kurram districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, eliminating 13 militants affiliated with the Indian proxy outfit Fitna al-Khawarij.

According to the ISPR, the operations were launched following confirmed reports of militant presence in the area. During the operation in Bannu, the forces effectively targeted a militant hideout. After a fierce exchange of fire, eight militants were killed.

In another operation in Kurram district, security forces engaged in a gun battle, successfully neutralizing five more militants.

The ISPR added that clearance and search operations are ongoing to eliminate any remaining Indian-backed militants from the area.
