SBCA Refutes Claims of Missing Gul Plaza Records, Confirms All Legal Documents Are Intact

Karachi (HRNW) — The Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) has dismissed reports suggesting that records related to Gul Plaza are missing, clarifying that all approved building plans, completion documents, and legal records are safely preserved within the authority.

According to SBCA, Gul Plaza was originally constructed in 1979, received a revised plan approval in 1998, and was regularized under regulations in 2003. The No Objection Certificate (NOC) issued in 2005 states that the building had a total of 1,102 approved shops, and the building plan clearly indicated staircases and 16 emergency exits.

The authority assured the public of transparent investigations and full cooperation, promising that a fact-based report would be presented regarding the incident.
