Saddar’s Parking Mafia Busted: Assistant Commissioner Takes Decisive Action

Karachi, Pakistan (HRNW)- The notorious “Parking Mafia” operating in Saddar, Karachi’s busiest commercial hub, has finally faced legal repercussions. Assistant Commissioner Saddar, Hazim Bangwar, spearheaded a major crackdown, resulting in the registration of 12 new FIRs against individuals extorting illegal parking fees from citizens.

The operation targeted hotspots like Regal Chowk and Abdullah Haroon Road, where agents were reportedly harassing and threatening motorists who refused to pay unauthorized charges. Hazim Bangwar personally visited the Preedy Police Station to ensure the cases were filed on behalf of the Traffic Police.

“This mafia has held our historic commercial center hostage for too long,” Bangwar stated, emphasizing that the operation followed an influx of public complaints. He issued a stern warning that indiscriminate action would continue against all encroachers and illegal fee collectors. Under the directives of the Commissioner of Karachi, the administration aims to restore order to the city’s streets and protect citizens from systemic extortion.
