Russia Launches Massive Drone Attack on Odessa, 3 Dead and 23 Injured; Historic Sites Damaged

Kiev (HRNW)- At least three people were killed and 23 injured, including two children and a pregnant woman, in a large-scale drone attack by Russia on the southern Ukrainian city of Odessa, Ukrainian officials reported. More than 50 drones, including advanced models, targeted power systems and residential areas, leaving residents struggling in bitter cold. Five residential buildings were damaged, with two men and a woman among the fatalities. Rescue operations are ongoing.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky condemned the attacks, saying they undermine diplomatic efforts and urged the U.S. and the international community to push for peace and impose stronger sanctions on Russia. Separately, a passenger train in Kharkiv was hit by a drone, killing four people. UNESCO also reported damage to historical sites in Odessa, Kyiv, and Lviv.
