Rohingya Genocide Case Moves Closer to Judgment at World Court

The Hague, Netherlands (HRNW)- The International Court of Justice concluded three weeks of hearings in Gambia’s genocide claim against Myanmar, alleged to involve mass killings, sexual violence, destruction of villages, and other atrocities against the Rohingya ethnic minority from 2016–17. The case now advances toward judgment on whether Myanmar violated the Genocide Convention.
