Karachi (HRNW)— Media reports suggest that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has requested the resignation of Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori, with indications that if he refuses, he could potentially be de-notified. Names reportedly under consideration for the governor’s position include Nihal Hashmi and Bashir Memon.
According to sources, MQM leadership has been consulted and is reportedly in agreement with the change, while some party leaders oppose Tessori’s removal. The news has not yet been officially confirmed.
Notably, hundreds of banners were displayed yesterday on Shahrah-e-Faisal, highlighting Tessori’s achievements, reflecting the internal political maneuvering. Meanwhile, the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has applied significant pressure on the federal government over criticisms of the Sindh Governor.
