Balochistan (HRNW): The suspension of train services to inland destinations and Chaman has resulted in significant financial losses for the Pakistan Railways. The Railway Department has announced that train services from Quetta to inland areas and Chaman will remain suspended today as well.
According to railway officials, the Bolan Mail, operating between Karachi and Quetta, will also remain suspended until February 12. Due to the prolonged suspension of train operations, Pakistan Railways has suffered losses exceeding Rs 3 million so far.
Meanwhile, the Dera Ismail Khan–Loralai National Highway, which connects Punjab to Balochistan, and the Quetta–Taftan National Highway have also remained closed for the past five days, causing severe difficulties for passengers and disrupting commercial activities.
Officials stated that a decision regarding the restoration of transport services will be taken once the situation returns to normal.
