Islamabad (HRNW)- Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Qamar Zaman Kaira has said that while PTI leaders want negotiations, the main obstacle in the dialogue process is the founder of PTI himself, resulting in a continued deadlock.
Speaking on the program “Center Stage,” Kaira stated that PTI should create space for dialogue with political parties, adding that despite PTI members favoring talks, the founder’s stance has blocked progress.
He said that both sides are looking for a way out of the deadlock, but negotiations are unlikely to move forward because the PTI founder has refused to negotiate with politicians, while state institutions are also unwilling to hold talks.
Qamar Zaman Kaira further alleged that the PTI founder is seeking confrontation and public pressure, claiming that he wants a situation that forces the government to bring Sohail Afridi, thereby escalating political conflict. According to Kaira, PTI supporters prefer confrontation over reconciliation.
