Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz’s Sahulat Bazaar Project Benefits 55,000 Families, Creates 9,200 Jobs

Lahore (HRNW)- Under the guidance of Chief Minister Punjab, Ms. Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the Sahulat Bazaar Project has been successful in providing affordable and quality goods to the public and providing decent employment opportunities to the unemployed.

Under Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s Sahulat Bazaar Project, stoves have started burning in the homes of 55,000 families so far. About 9,200 people have got employment with the establishment of 46 Sahulat Bazaars across Punjab.

In a year, 85 million people shopped in Sahulat Bazaars and goods worth Rs. 425 million were purchased. Vegetables, fruits and other 13 important food items are supplied here at wholesale rates, saving the public about Rs. 110 million.

The Chief Minister of Punjab has ensured the provision of affordable and quality goods in Wazirabad, Chunian, Jaranwala, Chiniot, Khanewal, Bhalwal, Pattoki, Okara and Muzaffargarh. He has also set a target of completing 30 more new convenience markets by June 30.

Mrs. Maryam Nawaz Sharif has directed that steps be taken to establish convenience markets in every tehsil of Punjab so that every citizen can easily access affordable and quality goods. The Chief Minister said that she is committed to providing affordable and quality goods to every citizen.
