Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz Pledges Upgrade for Rescue 1122 Following Lahore Fire Incident

Lahore (HRNW)- Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has said that resources will be provided to upgrade the entire Rescue 1122 system.

Addressing a meeting on fire and building safety in the provincial capital, Maryam Nawaz said that the timely action of the rescue agencies is commendable, we share the grief of the victims of Gul Plaza, if any help is needed from us, we will definitely do it.

She said that the fire that broke out in a building in Lahore was controlled in time, I congratulate the Rescue 1122 team, the Safe City project helped a lot for the relief operations.

The Punjab Chief Minister said that three people died in a fire in a hotel in Lahore, the hotel owner announced Rs 1 crore for the deceased.

Maryam Nawaz said that resources will be provided to upgrade the entire Rescue 1122 system, which is playing an important role in protecting the lives and property of citizens. All firefighting equipment should be functional and upgraded.

She said that to avoid any problems in the future, encroachments should be eliminated, fire alarm systems should be installed in buildings and first aid should be ensured.
