Washington (HRNW): U.S. President Donald Trump stated that negotiations with Iran are ongoing and expressed hope for a successful outcome. He also mentioned that the United States has already conducted “Operation Midnight Hammer” against Iran.
Speaking to reporters at the White House, President Trump said that the deployment of U.S. forces in Washington D.C. has contributed to a reduction in crime, making American cities safer than before.
He added that while talks with Iran are continuing, he does not yet know when or where the next meeting will take place. Trump noted that Iran was given an opportunity for dialogue, but due to lack of fruitful results, the U.S. proceeded with Operation Midnight Hammer.
The President remarked that Iran appears willing to make progress, but it remains to be seen whether these negotiations will produce tangible results.
It is noteworthy that President Trump also recently mentioned that, in addition to the U.S. fleet sent to Venezuela, a major naval deployment is also heading toward Iran.
